We are expanding our team of train drivers for our miniature railway

Posted by CDoyle on 22/10/2019

We are recruiting train drivers to take our visitors around the Park on our miniature railway. It is a one-mile long loop with a gauge of 10.25 inches.

This public-facing role includes checking tickets, interacting with our visitors, ensuring that they have a safe and enjoyable train ride around the Park. Some knowledge, interest and enjoyment of miniature railways is desirable but not essential. Training will be given as required.

In recent years the railway has been rebuilt and re-equipped by Alan Keef Ltd. It has two diesel locomotives (one steam outline) so knowledge of steam engines is not required. The railway operates every day from early February to early November (then weekends from November to mid-December) and is very popular with our many visitors.

Hours and remuneration by arrangement. The role holder will work a full day on a rota basis.

The deadline for CVs is Wednesday 6th November with interviews taking place w/c 12th November.

Please send a CV by email or post to:
